A grassroots movement

One conversation.
Then five more.

Tell five men to get screened for prostate cancer. Ask them to tell five more.

That is the whole idea. Simple enough to pass along today, powerful enough to change how early men catch it.

The idea

What it is, why it works, how you do it

No medical degree required. No big platform needed. Just a willingness to start one honest conversation.

What

A simple movement

Tell 5 Men is a grassroots effort built on one act: talking to the men in your life about prostate cancer screening.

Why

Early detection saves lives

Caught early, prostate cancer is highly treatable. Awareness is what gets a man to the conversation in time.

How

Tell five men

Talk to five men. Ask each to talk to five more. That is how awareness multiplies far beyond any one person.

The multiplier

This is how it spreads

  1. 01 Tell five men to get screened.
  2. 02 They each tell five.
  3. 03 Those men tell five more.
  4. And so on. That is how we end this.
Meet the founder

The promise that became Tell 5 Men

My name is Casey, and I’m the founder of Tell 5 Men™.

I’m a lifelong New Yorker from Queens, a proud veteran, a retired federal public servant, and a prostate cancer survivor.

Like many men, I never imagined prostate cancer would become part of my story. After a routine medical evaluation led to additional testing, I received a phone call that changed my life forever.

“We found the cells.”

Following months of active surveillance and additional testing, I underwent a radical prostatectomy. During my recovery, I realized I couldn’t keep this experience to myself.

I kept thinking about the men who might never get screened simply because no one had ever started the conversation.

That’s when I made a promise to myself:

I would never miss another opportunity to encourage another man to learn about prostate cancer and consider getting screened.

That promise became Tell 5 Men™. The mission is simple.

Encourage every man — and everyone who cares about the men in their lives — to tell five men about prostate cancer awareness and the importance of having informed conversations with their healthcare providers about screening. Then ask those five men to tell five more.

We believe awareness begins with conversation. We believe conversations save lives. And we believe that while one conversation can change everything…

Five conversations could change the world.

Thank you for visiting Tell 5 Men. I hope you’ll join us.

Tell Five Men.

Why screening matters

Know your personal risk

Not every man carries the same level of risk. Understanding yours is the first step in deciding, with your doctor, when to start screening.
